Frequently Asked Questions

Ask away - Chances are someone else wants to know too.

You bet! - No skills necessary. Just to be open-minded; the willingness to have a go is the key. The rest will fall into place as you discover what makes you feel good and supports your creative wellness practice.

Yes - I am a  qualified creative arts facilitator who can help you to reveal aspects of your life that you want to address through art activities.  I do not make health assessments as a registered art therapist would do. I provide a safe place for you to come and create, address issues and help you make future plans through art as a therapeutic practice.

The same approach is echoed in my general art sessions where I use my understanding of the therapeutic process, mindfulness, and the artistic process to help you tune joyfully into the moment and engage in your art practice in deeper ways.

I will not address your mental health concerns, but engage you in a mindful art practice; like any mindfulness or art practice, it will have positive benefits for your overall sense of well-being. Or, I can just teach you some art if thats what you prefer.

Sure - I facilitated the CWFR Pilot Program in 2020 which gained overwhelming positive feedback. Curtin University researchers validated its merits and so the program is currenlty forming up for a permanent service to be run through CWFR Inc. I am the Southern Area manager and want to help emergency service workers in my own community to achieve wellness benefits through creativity. It's art first, with wellness benefits ie 'feel good' - not art therapy or anything related to 'the job'.  View CWFR page for more information.

Small Key Studio is local to Old Halls Head, W.A. You are welcome here for sessions in the recently renovated studio. Toilet, Air-con and refreshments provided. I can also come to you. It's easy to make art mobile so touch base before you get put off. I can always hire local rooms too - Frasers Landing is a favourite!

Small Key Studio is located down the back of a terraced yard so walk the steepish drive way to stairs in the leafy green garden where creativity awaits. You will get a mild leg work out and thats a good aspect in any ones day. Sorry, no wheelchair access is possible. But I can come to you  - so please don't hesitate to get in touch.
